Course Formats in our Library

Public Domain Courseware – Our public domain governmental courseware is based on publications from a variety of US Government agency sources. These governmental publications are the de facto standard guidelines for much of the engineering design performed in the US.

These specification and design guidelines offer engineering guidance in civil, land development, water resources, environmental, coastal construction and geology, electrical infrastructure, forestry, transportation and railway infrastructure, HSW, and much more. In fact nearly any engineering topic and area of practice has guidelines for design found in these technical manuals and handbooks.

Most governmental agencies have commissioned specification and design standards for practicing PEs to follow when bidding on governmental and capital improvement projects. Agencies such as: EPA, USDA, NRCS, FEMA, USACE (Corp of Engineers), OSHA, FHWA, DOE, DOD, USFS, and practically any agency of the US government, has guidelines and specification manuals of this type. All public domain, and available for the use of the practicing professional engineer.

Specialty Topics – In addition to our extensive library of governmental technical manual courses, we offer an ever widening list of titles on those topics which can not be properly covered using governmental sources. We try to offer a wide range of original content on titles such as modern sensors, clean rooms, chilled beams tech, emerging tech, trendy tech, and more.

Summary Courseware for Public Domain Titles – Some times we will write original courses which summarize the content in governmental publications in order to weed out the unnecessary content, to provide a short and sweet overview of a concept or technology.

We often compile complicated topics into brief, simplified overviews and present them in slideshow presentations in order to provide a more entertaining, better-organized, and summarized course.
